Focus Puzzle Piece for 2022-2023 – Faith in Our Future – Access to Quality Education
The Foundation was launched on November 5, 2022, Cora Faith’s birthday! At the launch, Washington University announced the Cora Faith Walker Health Equity Scholarship Fund which will be awarded to students in the University’s Brown School. The Cora Faith Walker Foundation will make an annual donation to this scholarship fund in an effort to help the fund reach “endowed” status.
The Foundation will also establish two scholarships at the high school level to be awarded at a North St. Louis County high school spring 2023. This will be an annual award with the hope of increasing the amount awarded each year.
The Foundation will support K-12 education with an annual grade-level micro-grant that supports outstanding efforts in teaching that create equitable learning environments that foster successful outcomes for black and brown students in North St. Louis County.
